DREAMTRIX

An amazing human trait: once a person falls in love, they gain a sense of the value of their life and begin to cherish themselves.

The birth of a child makes a person realize their responsibility and no longer allows them to recklessly risk themselves, experiment with drugs, break the law, and so on.

Yet, for some reason, little is said about how discovering one’s talents and, accordingly, feeling one’s unique, truly ONE’S OWN future also — perhaps even more so — creates a sense of individual value and uniqueness.

The idea of a self-discovery game, mainly for youth and teenagers, arose from a discussion about statistics related to youth drug addiction.

What struck me most was that these statistics increase with each new generation. I thought this was all a manifestation of protest — possibly a subconscious protest of young people against society, which diligently and ubiquitously shapes teenagers according to its standard templates in order to create the preconditions for success in that particular society.

“Well then,” they argued with me, “there’s no escaping this, since every society is based on certain values and principles agreed upon by the majority, and everyone else must comply.”

That evening, the idea began to form in my mind of a youth online community whose main unifying value is living according to one’s talents — a place where you must find your true self.

An important part of this community/game is the Dreamtrix game/social network, through which a young person reveals their distinctive individual traits, creative potential, and ultimately their calling — their profession.

I am absolutely convinced that if a young person identifies their character and potential at the earliest stages of development and recognizes their uniqueness, they will cherish themselves, their life, and their future.

They will understand their irreplaceable value as well as the value of every individual. At the very least, this will create the foundation for careful treatment of one’s health, self-confidence, and respect for others.

Outline

Dreamtrix is a youth social network/game focused on talent discovery and career choice, bringing together support international groups and subgroups based on initial and revealed data. Dreamtrix is divided into virtual spheres of talents, personality types, industries, professions, national regions, and so forth. The social network operates through an elected leadership — the “Dreamtrix Creatorium” or “Creatorium D,” whose task is to coordinate all functions of the social network/game and expand the service territorially.

Dreamtrix has three levels of progression:

1. Personality type determination games:

A formula of the player’s character — the future creator — is generated, including various aspects of his/her personality.

For example:

  • Introvert
  • Humanitarian
  • Idealist

The player progresses through levels step-by-step, complementing their personality code with each new level.

Registration and the initial “address” are determined by the place of residence and age. Then the address is modified with each new level of self-determination.

The games are based on different life situations with increasing levels of complexity in a particular direction of deeper exploration, according to previous results.

2. Potential
Determination

Primarily abstract games built on numerous studies and questionnaires that identify predispositions toward various creative activities.

For example:

  • Inclination toward mathematics
  • Inclination toward teaching
  • Inclination toward artistry and organizational activities, etc.

3. Career
Search

The game offers a list of directions and professions within the scope of the player’s predispositions, based on completed levels — character definition and creative potential. The player can choose a direction independently or receive a random selection.

For example:

  • A love of sports (athletic and oratory talent) may lead to professions such as sports commentator, coach, etc.
  • A love of design, organizational talent, and independence might manifest as an original idea for a furniture store.

The goal of the game is to engage every part of the player’s character and potential.

– the program’s foundation relies on three tables: character qualities, talent qualities, and professions. Each is divided into presumably fruitful character and talent qualities.

– for professions requiring real-world self-testing (“in person”), there is an option to exit the virtual space for special trials. For example, the player enters a virtual theater and opens a certain door (for professions like actors, musicians, athletes, etc.).

– each level includes an accompanying educational and introductory program. Also, while in the game, when making certain decisions (for example, progressing through hospital levels), the player can revisit the educational program repeatedly.

– the goal is not to compete against others but to better understand oneself and reinforce new knowledge.

– at certain progression stages, the game administration should provide local opportunities to “try out” real-world conditions.

Game Appearance & Social Network Overview

Ideally, the game represents a flying virtual city of the future above the earth. It is a city-builder from which, on player demand, separate cities, industries, national region districts, or streets with specific character can detach and assemble.

The player’s “apartment” can occupy several addresses as they progress. In each one, it harmoniously fits into skyscrapers where apartments are grouped according to national region, profession, talent, and character.

Each city has its own internal management structure: local ambassadors, industry leaders, profession leaders, etc.

Tasks of Creatorium Leaders:

  • Identify problematic trends in their area that require attention.
  • Expand their sphere of influence by attracting potential participants.

Role of Local Ambassadors:

Ambassadors from various participant categories, in addition to their primary activities, should coordinate with enterprises and companies to arrange internships for players who have completed the virtual levels.

More Details About the Game Format:

The virtual format of the Game is based on a youth social network where each participant creates their own portfolio — a kind of multi-page website.

On the main page of the portfolio, alongside information about the player, there is a list of three development areas:

  • Creative (a three-level search for vocation)
  • General Development (reading, educational events, cinema, music, etc.)
  • Healthy Lifestyle (sports, nutrition, etc.)

For each category, the page offers the opportunity to publish materials demonstrating the process of searching for vocation, general development, and a healthy lifestyle.

Separate chat rooms are provided for each category to facilitate communication, with the idea being mutual support among participants on the chosen topic.

Additionally, each page links to a support international group of seven people. This group is selected by programmed artificial intelligence based on potentially fruitful relationships between participants. The group's goal is mutual support in the search for one's true individual vocation.

On the player's main individual page, there are also links to three levels (with sub-levels) of self-discovery: character, talent, profession.

As players progress through levels and add new data to their personal code, they receive engaging information about the significance of certain character traits, talents, or professions. Furthermore, stories of famous people similar to the player in specific categories are presented, and finally — matching across all parameters as a whole.

Conclusion: This Game will bring each participant an awareness of their individuality and value to society, as well as an understanding of closeness or even kinship with other young people around the world.
